You can listen to Am/Fm/Sirius while Android Auto is active, even without turning off auto-play (that's a good trick though, I'll try it out).
One you've got the phone connected and Android Auto starts up, you can change the audio source from steering wheel controls and switch it to...
I wish there was a way to upgrade my '23 to the '25's camera system. The overhead and improved front camera (with the tracks) would be really cool to have.
Ryan, I've watched a ton of your videos with various vehicles and I'm a fan. I'll be interested to see what you do with the BS.
If everything in the mullinax description is correct, it'll probably be around 50k. Just adding a 2.3 liter engine alone will make a big bump.
This is the Bronco Sport Raptor (with a different name).
I wonder if there will be exclusive colors?
Edit: I'll be surprised if Mullinax was posting...
Wow, those are some cool upgrades... 32" tires, 2" lift... 2.3l engine?
Locking differentials? This is like a different vehicle. It's a Suzuki Jimny with more room (and power).
Something to give you peace-of-mind: The HRG guy did a video on YouTube driving the BS with 0 miles left until empty. I think he went about 30 miles before it started to sputter.
Here's a story that leads to a useful tip about offroading:
A tourist went to Botswana for a solo camping adventure. He drove deep into Central Kalahari Game reserve in his rented Toyota Hilux. He got stuck in deep sand, like many people do.
He couldn't get unstuck and decided to start...
"Where is 2025 Bronco Sport" seems like a decent stand-alone topic to me.
Answer: Everyone is behind, parts shortages, chips, personnel, etc...
I was on the 4runner forum and apparently the 2025 is delayed until the end of the year for the reasons above. And I know the 2024 Landcruisers are...
For the oil filter, an old trick is to use a Ziploc bag. You put the bag around the filter, so the filter is inside the bag, then unscrew the filter. Most of the oil stays in the bag, plus the filter itself drops into the bag.
I was sorting through some pictures in Lightroom and came across this one. It's not a picture of my bronco sport exactly, but it's in the background out-of-focus.
I was out taking picture of birds, as I often do, and this northern harrier came sailing by:
I gassed up at a station in Montana somewhere one time, reset the trip odometer, drove off downhill from the gas station (long downhill) and managed to keep it above 80mpg for 10 minutes or so.
They show this commercial 4-5 times a game during Mariners games (Seattle broadcast).
I can't find any info about it, and in the commercial the only noticeable difference is the Wild Edition emblem on the back.
How do you find getting in and out? I slept in the back once and getting in and out was so awkward, I haven't done it since.
I think if the hatch had a latch on the inside to get out it would be a lot better.
I've had the 245/65 Mickey Thompsons for about 5k miles now and I love them (replaced Pirelli Scorpions) .
Pros
-I've taken them offroad a lot and they've done great on gravel, sand, some snow, some mud, etc...
-They look great and improve the overall look of the vehicle a lot, imo
-They seem...
I like the concept of a thread called "NOT A SPORT BUT" for suggesting other vehicles BS owners might also like.
Here's one not available in the USA, but similar styling as Bronco Sport, and apparently a real offroad beast (popular for muddy, sandy overlanding trips in Africa, for example)...
When I bought mine new about a year ago that's how all the used Sports were priced. Right around new sticker price for used vehicles with as many as 30k miles.
Apparently people were paying those prices in order to get one "today," because they didn't have many new ones on lots that weren't...
I've driven Ford Escapes, Transits and Explorers as my work vehicles and here's a transmission thing I've noticed in all the vehicles (and occasionally in my BS too):
After driving at highway speeds for a while (like more than an hour) , exiting the highway, then stopping at a light or stop...
