6000 miles in so far on a Maverick hybrid. If they offer the Bronco Sport in a hybrid, my wife's all in for trading her '20 CX-5 for one. FWD only would be fine for us.

Essentially, it is AWD by most offroad conventions (no true locker or low-range gearbox). However, it does emulate some of those functions with arguable success.

Maybe not as attractive, but style shouldn't trump function when you're going to all the trouble and expense to add the feature. The old Escape didn't look that bad in the back. Classic case of style over substance

If they have dealership lots full of immobile vehicles, they may have to change their blue oval signage to match the new "Found On Lot Dead" jingle customers will adopt. Of course, the signage may become ominous for some of the dealerships.

As a former 1st gen Escape owner that was very vocal about the loss of the this feature with the arrival of the "jellybean SUVs", I will say that while I sorely miss the larger, more useful early Escape flip glass, the Sport's implementation is so poor that I could care less about its existence...
