Capacity almost certainly plays a role here. In my 2012 F150 Ford said 64gb was the max, but for some reason I was able to get a 128gb USB stick to work.
On my two current Sync3 vehicles I'm successfully running 256gb USB sticks with no issue. Same on my Sync4 vehicles (I should try 512gb stick...
I didn't know if this thread was gonna be about arguments or fancy shoe accessories. So glad to have my misunderstanding cleared up. :like:
I have the same vehicle model/same model year and it has them in front of the rear wheels. Looks weird, but I kinda like 'em.
Nope. In both cases (Tufskinz and overlays) I thoroughly cleaned with rubbing alcohol the white Bronco and Bronco Sport lettering, let it dry, and then lightly put them in place.
Fully on with the plastic letter overlays (but lightly just in case they needed readjusting (they didn't, they fit...
Like @xtinction I bought my set of overlays (orange; for both front and back of the BS) from a US-based seller on eBay. Bought two sets just in case (as they seemed to go in an out of availability).
Yup. This is what I have on the Bronco Sport, as well. Orange overlays on Eruption Green.
Then I tried the Tufskinz on my Bronco. I like both approaches.
I have the Tufskinz letter overlays on the front of my Bronco. Far better than the from-Etsy thin (and cheap) overlays I originally had.
The Turskinz are expensive, but "worth every penny" (actually, Tufskinz products are about 20% over-priced to my mind, but I'm betting you get the my drift).
Actually, I had an 81 base model. For all its warts (and it had many!) we still loved the size and concept. Drove an X11 in 85 and it was a light year increase over the stick shift Citation we had. Being a still-poor captain in the Army, we still couldn't afford an X11 (considering the 13%...
That 81/82 Jetta was the rage of all the West Point new lieutenants when they showed up for the Armor Basic Course at Fort Knox. Local dealership couldn't keep 'em in stock! I, being a poor ROTC lieutenant, was jealous, but being poor thus had to settle for a plain ole Citation (which culminated...
We had an '84 Celica GT. Bought from the Canadian Exchange in Baden right before we PCS'd back home to the US from (West) Germany. Really wanted the GTS as it added the Supra look without the Supra cost. But they didn't have anymore in stock and we were leaving before new ones were set to...
Laugh all you want (and no doubt will), but I still wish I had bought that '85 Chevrolet Citation X11. That and the '84 Toyota Celica GTS.
(I have no affiliation with either photo; just two I downloaded off the interwebz to show which autos I'm still jonesing over.)
Yup, that's my worry. I think (though I wouldn't swear to it) that there's something on the Ford Parts/Accessories website that makes the stated install price "not fixed in stone." That it is up to the local dealership, yada, yada, yada.
Why I never purchase with the install option added in.
I just took my never-has-seen-the-light-of-day full-size spare out of my 2023 BS BL and substituted in a fifth wheel so I can do 5-tire rotations. Will be putting it up for sale shortly. It will be interesting to see if there's any interest now that a spare is no longer included....
As I noted over at Ranger5g I'd be all over one in a minute if a true Ranger Super Duty came to the NA market. But if an Everest came here...? I'd be all over that in a nanosecond.
Because Ford blew it when it changed the Escape for MY13.
Love our BS BL. But there were things the first and (especially) second gen Escapes had that the BS doesn't (wrt to some personal preferences). But it's really close. So, for us, the BS is the real descendant of the Escape, not that...
We have the heated steering wheel on our 23 BL. Really glad to have it, but we turn it off shortly after turning it on as it gets too warm. So I find myself missing it from time to time on the F150 (where it was deleted) and wishing there was a temp control on the BS BL (like the seats).
(Add...
Hard to get a return wave these days as it seems too many drivers (of all cars) have one hand holding their coffee cup or putting on eye shadow (sadly, both men and women) and the other hand holding their phone & texting.
I have the AVS version and had to replace the tape on 3 of the 4 visors after only 15 months. That they stick to rubber in some places is the main problem, I think. Will probably try an in-channel version down the road (if they're available).
