My OEM EFB battery died just before the recall was announced, and was replaced by dealer with Ford AGM at my expense. I received the recall notice and contacted the dealer who told me Iād have to wait for the actual recall to start to file for reimbursement.
I submitted for reimbursement 5/4/25...
Was going to post this to another battery thread, but since this is the latest one Iāll put it here.
Ford dealer replaced my battery (on its last legs) just as the recall was being rolled out. Since the recall wasnāt finalized I had to pay for new battery (AGM @ $300 installed).
Today I got my...
The lug wrench is part of the jack and is the jack handle ā itās sort of like a ātinker toyā. The manual (for you probably only on line) gives an idea of how to assemble it. Funnel is for putting gas in tank with a ājerry canā. Youāll probably have to purchase the eye bolt for vehicle recovery...
Didnāt see any in my area for several months after taking delivery of mine. Then, slowly, started seeing a few . . . then a few more. By 2023 they were springing up like rabbits (not the VW kind) and now I see Sports all over the place ā actually more Sports and G6 (4) door Broncos which are...
Yeah, I run a K&N on my Tiger (hungry V8), which doesnāt rack up that many miles and is always on pavement. I thinks it works great there, and cleaning is less problem than finding a air filter for a ā66 British car <lol>. Donāt think Iāll ever run other than an OEM filter on the BS
I was around the old boats from birth (my old man was a lifer in subs, joined in 1942), so I grew up with them. The Nukes, especially the āboomersā, were waaaay too clean and sanitary for me. Couldnāt get used to the idea of jump suits instead of dungarees.
Iām still ācheckingā, but I think both mph & mpg readouts have gotten more accurate since I put the 235/70 tires on my BL. Iāve made no other adjustments.
Nice digs. Noted ur avatar . . . I road diesel boats in the sixties and go to the few left as museums once in a while just to get a whiff of ārealā air <lol>.
No problem here; sounds like the rubber blade is degrading and dragging, you might try cleaning with rubbing alcohol after each time you wash the car. Only problem I had was OEM blade partially detached from arm w/o warning, fortunately no damage to glass.
Washed (@ car wash), cleaned off all the baked on bug crap, and detailed outside. Cleaned interior, and installed fuel hose inside rear of hood molding; sprayed WD40, pushed through and clipped ends. Whole thing took 2 minutes ā molding not the rest <lol>.
Yeah, dealer said one was leaking so they replaced both (tried to talk them into fronts too ā no dice). They initially said that the werenāt covered under the warranty so I took my copy of the plan in and showed them in black and white that they were covered. Only had to pay my deductible.
Took the Premier plan for 10/100,000 on my BL (I know, lots of folks will think Iām silly). My reasoning is that with my luck the most expensive things (trans, RDU, computers, A/C, etc) will crap out at some point and I donāt want repair bills (76 and I figure this is my last vehicle).
Just...
