  1. Battery Recall

My OEM EFB battery died just before the recall was announced, and was replaced by dealer with Ford AGM at my expense. I received the recall notice and contacted the dealer who told me I’d have to wait for the actual recall to start to file for reimbursement. I submitted for reimbursement 5/4/25...
  2. Say Hello and Introduce Yourself! ?

Last resort is back to selling dealer, make ā€˜em show you and/or replace missing parts.
  3. Do You Suffer from Baader-Meinhof Phenomenon?

I see lots of BS’s now, but still don’t see many like mine (Carbonized Gray BL) so I still feel kinda’ special
  4. Battery recall ?

Was going to post this to another battery thread, but since this is the latest one I’ll put it here. Ford dealer replaced my battery (on its last legs) just as the recall was being rolled out. Since the recall wasn’t finalized I had to pay for new battery (AGM @ $300 installed). Today I got my...
  5. Say Hello and Introduce Yourself! ?

The lug wrench is part of the jack and is the jack handle — it’s sort of like a ā€œtinker toyā€. The manual (for you probably only on line) gives an idea of how to assemble it. Funnel is for putting gas in tank with a ā€œjerry canā€. You’ll probably have to purchase the eye bolt for vehicle recovery...
  6. Do You Suffer from Baader-Meinhof Phenomenon?

Didn’t see any in my area for several months after taking delivery of mine. Then, slowly, started seeing a few . . . then a few more. By 2023 they were springing up like rabbits (not the VW kind) and now I see Sports all over the place — actually more Sports and G6 (4) door Broncos which are...
  7. K&N intake?

Yeah, I run a K&N on my Tiger (hungry V8), which doesn’t rack up that many miles and is always on pavement. I thinks it works great there, and cleaning is less problem than finding a air filter for a ’66 British car <lol>. Don’t think I’ll ever run other than an OEM filter on the BS
  8. Looking to jump...... If I can find a 24 loaded Badlands

I was around the old boats from birth (my old man was a lifer in subs, joined in 1942), so I grew up with them. The Nukes, especially the ā€œboomersā€, were waaaay too clean and sanitary for me. Couldn’t get used to the idea of jump suits instead of dungarees.
  9. 1979 Bronco restoration

    Remember — ā€œred, right, returningā€
  10. What did you do TO your Bronco Sport today?

    Isn’t it a great feeling?
  11. Looking to jump...... If I can find a 24 loaded Badlands

Went on a ā€˜Nuke once to bum a part, was only there about 15 minutes — enough for me, refused to ride them and got out.
  12. ASS - from X

I’m still ā€œcheckingā€, but I think both mph & mpg readouts have gotten more accurate since I put the 235/70 tires on my BL. I’ve made no other adjustments.
  13. Looking to jump...... If I can find a 24 loaded Badlands

Nice digs. Noted ur avatar . . . I road diesel boats in the sixties and go to the few left as museums once in a while just to get a whiff of ā€œrealā€œ air <lol>.
  14. Rear wiper twitching and rattling

No problem here; sounds like the rubber blade is degrading and dragging, you might try cleaning with rubbing alcohol after each time you wash the car. Only problem I had was OEM blade partially detached from arm w/o warning, fortunately no damage to glass.
  15. I went to the dark side...

Yup, was in my 3rd week of Navy boot camp when the Army notified me I’d ā€œwon the lotteryā€. Bet you can guess what I told them 🤬 šŸ’©
  16. Best Recovery Boards and placement for trips

From what I’ve read the AT4’s are improved but considerably heavier if unprinted weight concerns you.
  17. What did you do TO your Bronco Sport today?

Washed (@ car wash), cleaned off all the baked on bug crap, and detailed outside. Cleaned interior, and installed fuel hose inside rear of hood molding; sprayed WD40, pushed through and clipped ends. Whole thing took 2 minutes — molding not the rest <lol>.
  18. Extended Warranty shopping by known issues?

Yeah, dealer said one was leaking so they replaced both (tried to talk them into fronts too — no dice). They initially said that the weren’t covered under the warranty so I took my copy of the plan in and showed them in black and white that they were covered. Only had to pay my deductible.
  19. Durable cover for center console?

Love that look — I’ve seen the same expression on convicts <lmao>
  20. Extended Warranty shopping by known issues?

Took the Premier plan for 10/100,000 on my BL (I know, lots of folks will think I’m silly). My reasoning is that with my luck the most expensive things (trans, RDU, computers, A/C, etc) will crap out at some point and I don’t want repair bills (76 and I figure this is my last vehicle). Just...
