  1. Transmission issue 2022 Bronco Sport Big Bend

I believe Ford just issued recalls on other vehicles with this issue earlier this week (big Bronco among them). Wonder if this will become a widespread issue with the BS… 😟
  2. Why did you choose a Bronco Sport?

I see tons of Sports on the road these days…. While I do worry about the longevity of the 3-banger, it’s been a solid vehicle so far. Speaking of older cars… My wife drives a ‘07 Tahoe we’ve had since new. It’s got 321k miles on it. A couple of small issues (a tear in 1 seat and a wonky...
  3. Why did you choose a Bronco Sport?

2023 Bronco Sport Heritage trim Needed a new vehicle right away (2011 GTi, blew a rear main). Several other items (new headliner among them) added up to a big number to repair a 12 yr old car with nearly 150k miles - no thanks. I wanted: Something on the dealers lot AWD 4-door SUV style...
  4. Wireless charging

Have to agree. It’s a pretty Mickey Mouse charging setup, especially for newer phones with the bump out on the case to accommodate the camera. I did change from an Apple case to a Caudabe brand case and it is a bit better. YMMV.
  5. Trip Report: Citrus Wildlife Management Area, Inverness FL with 2 Bronco Sports

Awesome! Glad you enjoyed. We visit the Inverness area quite frequently and will definitely put this onto our list of places to check out! Those elevation changes you enjoyed are thanks to the Central Ridge in FL, which puts some areas in the vicinity of about 250’ above sea level in some...
  6. 2025 Bronco Sport gets new engine

Let’s hope so… Ford needs to stop the bleeding and reduce warranty claims below the estimated $25 million per DAY, across all platforms so, let’s hope the new MPC architecture is a step in the right direction
  7. Bronco Sport got Whacked

Oh, man…. Bummer. So sorry for your trouble. Hope it’s a speedy and stress free repair for you.
  8. Overheating issue with towing

I would also have the dealer check to make sure the grille shutters are working properly. (If your model is equipped with them… I know the 3cyl. has them) If you’re running hotter, all the time, perhaps the shutters are stuck in the closed position and restricting airflow to the radiator
  9. What MPG and Range can we expect on the Bronco Sport?

I also have a Bronco Sport in Heritage trim with the 1.5l 3-banger in it. I've never come close to that mileage on an extended trip and i really don't get on it that hard... I had a 4+ hour trip late summer. Eco mode... drove it with a very soft pedal, in an attempt to see what sort of...
  10. Key fob insanity!

Yep... tried both... same situatoin... i just have to modify my standard practice which, after almost 45 years of driving should be close to impossible 🤣
  11. Key fob insanity!

Oh definitely not.... i like 'em "roomy"
  12. Key fob insanity!

Don't know about anyone else but the alarm button on the key fob for my BS is SO sensitive that i find the alarm going off all the time just while it is riding around in a front pocket! Home, work, out to a restaurant.... the dang thing keeps going off on me. Honestly, i'd like to throw the...
  13. Remote start limitations

When using remote start on my ‘23 BS Heritage Trim (not the Limited), the heat or a/c always come on, regardless of whether the climate control is set to “Auto” or not. I’m guessing there has to be a setting somewhere in the guts of the system to control that.
  14. FordPass Complaint

First off... i sort of dislike tech and truly despise (mostly) the direction it is headed, but put up with it. It's just a more sophisticated snake oil pitch, as far as i'm concerned. If Ford wants to track my location or send me ads based on my location, good luck. I'm not worth tracking...
  15. Bronco sport fuel milage

I think that in "regular" mode the throttle and transmission response are much more sensitive to inputs and it seems there is more shifting going. Drop a gear, even for a bit and the mpg suffers. In eco mode, the BS seems to require VERY deliberate throttle inputs to elicit a similar...
  16. Bronco sport fuel milage

i think eco mode makes a difference...( i think it simply deadens throttle response and adjusts shift points a bit) I do believe eco mode does much better on the highway or at least when on open roads at 45 mph or over and not a lot of speed changes or having to deal with hills. Around town...
  17. REALLY?

oh, this advertising thing will likely happen, and when it does, they'll probably crank the volume up several decibels over what you're already listening to, like they do with television ads. And that will drive me nuts. I'd probably pay extra for a television that would compensate for the...
  18. 10k Service and New Tire Needed

UPDATE: Well, the BS is back from the 10k service and replacement of the tire that was damaged and unable to be plugged... all seemed to go well, although on the ride home the infotainment screen locked up... again.... (it was already in for the infotainment issue not long ago and had been...
  19. FORD EV'S

With building a traditional highway in the US currently costing between $5 million and $10 million per mile, i can only imagine what this would cost the taxpayers....
