As others have stated - Google search Ford ESP. You can buy it later online often cheaper than the selling dealer. I'm not a big fan of extended warranties. Some people like the piece of mind. To each their own. Don't feel like you need buy it "day of" at the selling dealer.
All the...
I re read through the associated documents from NTSB over my lunch hour.
The way I'm interpreting is the issue of increased stopping distances with the out of spec pads is in the event of brake booster component failure.
Excerpted from one of the articles:
Description of Noncompliance ...
Since brakes and associated components are a safety issue I will probably at some point bring it in under warranty terms for an inspection. Even though I replaced the pads myself with Ford OEM parts. The pads I used were an updated part number however that does not necessarily mean they are...
It just seems that there is a big quality control issue with the manufacturers that Ford is getting their parts from. Unfortunately, with vehicles like the Escape, it's "Assembled In the USA" and no longer "Made In the USA".

Pretty much -...
Due to my work schedule I just don't have time to get to the Ford dealer during normal business hours only to have them tell there's nothing wrong with your brake pads. Brake pads are cheap and easy. Took me less than hour to do both sides - and apparently better than factory as they didn't...
Kinda wondered. I had a nasty squeak when reversing from the L rear. Replaced rear brake pads both sides myself. I can do it faster than the time it would take to drive to and wait at dealer under warranty. I ordered a new set from Ford parts. Pads are relatively inexpensive. Interestingly...
We have are coming up on 196k on our old now daughters 2013 Escape 2.0 EB. Motorcraft semi syn and Motorcraft filter. Change oil when oil monitoring says to change. Very pleased with the 2.0 EB. 45k on my 2018 F150 2.7 EB. Zero issues.
Yep - that's it. You do not need to remove the bolt on the actuator arm. Just pull the cable bushing off the stud connected to the actuator arm. Comes off fairly easy.
It's located under the air box and battery. If you have small hands you can reach down on the left side of the air box and disconnect the park release cable from the transmission as suggested in the TSB on the subject. It just pulls right off. If you have big hands then you need to remove...
Part of the reason is supposedly the BS has different design NVH tolerances compared to the Escape. Less insulation, etc. Also the design of the vehicle plays a role. The big boxy engine compartment of the BS acts like resonance chamber. Noises will get amplified.
I will refer you to thread "On this Episode of is this noise normal"
Noise 1 and 3 - I hate to say it but probably your transmission. Myself and others have had transmissions replaced. See the above referenced thread.
Noise 4 - Probably the park release cable. There is a TSB about this...
It appears Friday July 2 will be the last day to order a 2021 MY Bronco Sport.
2022 MY order bank opens 8/30 with production to begin in Nov. If you haven't ordered it appears your option will be what the dealer has on order now or probably looking at end of Nov/early Dec at the earliest for...
There is that little bit of low speed noise that's still kinda there. That could well be that park release cable(?) as per PT_Town's earlier posts. They replaced the park release cable but it could have been with one with same design defect. The transmission replacement fixed the...
The largest issue you're going to have with a buy back is finding another BS or any other Ford product to replace it. With inventory so thin it's going to be tough to find a dealer willing to give up a vehicle they can sell for MSRP+ to Ford's RAV program.
If you like the vehicle other than...
Velocity blue please!
The dark green from the Explorer Timberline would look sharp
Also on the wish list -
Option to order the 2.0 EB on something other than the BL. OB might be a good trim to offer this option.
They should check that shift aka "park release" cable
Have you called Ford customer service and opened a case? I would definitely let your dissatisfaction known to Ford. If have a case open already definitely follow up with your CSR.
Check you state's lemon laws. Varies by state but once...
If thinking about a *family* off road vehicle I'd probably go little bigger than the BS.
4runner would be a nice family off road rig or keep saving and hold out for a 2022 big Bronco:like:. By the time they start making the 2022 BS BL and making the 2022 Bronco it might end up being about the...
