Who knew goats could growl?
In my case, Sport mode has a distinctly Subie sound. Weird. Maybe itās because itās holding the lower gears longer and Iām just not used to hearing it rev out.
Enjoy the Maverick!
Considering the close relationship between the Maverick and Sport, Iām curious why you didnāt move to a different brand instead?
My BSBL handles twisty roads much better than my previous Grand Cherokee Trailhawk, and a lot of that just comes down to the BS having a lighter curb weight. In general, an off-road focused vehicle is going to wallow in the turns unless youāve got some sort of electronically adjustable...
Neat idea, but if youāre worried about cost I think selling your BS and buying a manual full-size will be way cheaper overall. And you could have it tomorrow.
I had the Toyo AT3 on my Jeep GC Trailhawk and my results are the same as you described. Louder on the highway and comfortable overall ride. Never had an issue with them off road, though they did cost me a few mpg on the highway.
Is the stop-start doing itās thing? Lots of people hate it but it will have a positive impact on mpg when itās working.
My last tank was 19 and it was all local commute. A bit of freeway time will bump it up.
My guess is youāll see better mpg on your return trip from Tehachapi to SD because...
Yup, thereās guaranteed to be a lemon in every box of lemons...
Good luck OP! I unloaded a Jeep for the same reason as you- lost trust after too many issues and unsatisfactory dealership visits. Vehicles are the most complex items most of us own, so there is always a chance that we get unlucky.
