I have 235/70/17 Goodyear wrangler workhorse on my 2021 First Edition badland for 2 years now , no issues and no lift. The key here is to stay with the 235 . Any lift will not increase the wheel width. My tires are a true 30.2 inch diameter. That is the maximum tire size.
I have a First Edition badlands with the 2.0 and a bunch of extra things added to make up the First Edition bronco sport total production 1990 for the year2021 . My production was Dec 2020 .
Definitely see the difference in ride and physical appearance. Mine is a First Edition model pretty much a badlands model, I have been beside many standard Bronco and you can see a big difference because of the factory lift and the 70 series tire height , over a 2.5 difference. All good no rub...
Also Mark it could very well be a failure in the turbo gasket. I have had first hand experiences with that on my 2017 Lincoln . Easy thing to check with carb cleaner . My two cents.
Your family should be good , my son and daughter live right off of gulf blvd in Indian rocks , not. So great. He will be kept quite busy for a few days , he is a deputy sheriff in Pinellas County . Hope all are safe.
