Wow! Impressive!
Reminded me of wiring an alarm system into my '83 Rabbit L forty years ago after the head unit was taken. Something I would never do now. :)
My wife won a 2G Escape at work. 2012 Ford Escape Limited Hybrid. Bronco Sport very much feels like an updated 2G Escape, which she really liked. She ordered a '23 Badlands when the order banks opened.
Sure don't miss changing points and condenser. :)
Even switched the Moke over to electronic ignition.
The JSW TDI mentioned above was my last daily driver with a stick. Drove manual transmission 1983 - 2015.
I had odered '01 GTi GLX after my '97 Passat GLX wagon with a stick.
Missed the size and 4 doors of the wagon
Traded it in on a CPO 2003 Audi A4 Avant 3.0 Quattro with a stick. Regional Audi reps car. That was a neat car.
Kept that to a JSW TDI. A dieselgate car. Nice getting over 40 mpg...
The '87 GTi 16v posted above replaced my first new car.
1983 VW Rabbit L. 65 h.p. 1.7-L engine. Carb. 4 speed. No AC or power steering. Didn't come with passenger sideview mirror. Had to buy it after.
Black. Silver leatherette interior. VW way of saying light gray vinyl.
Engine bay...
Off topic. We have a house on OBX. There's a FB page of people getting stuck in the sand in Corolla.
Very funny picture of two guys trying to push a stuck Tesla truck.
Comments about tryng to push a 9,000-pound vehicle stuck in the sand. 😃
Interesting mentioning the Porsche 944 above.
Porsche not pleased that the GTi 16v had better 0-60.
Think the 924 was better, too.
It was an embarrassment for a year until they gave the 944 more h.p.
944 was heavier than the GTi and 924.
Had an '87 VW GTi 16v thirty years ago. Bought new. Kept it 10 years, 172,000 miles. Transmission blew.
Sold it to a VW tech. His son was getting his license. They sold it at 255,000 and would see it on the highway commuting for years after.
He also did the clutch while they owned it...
Measure tread depth. AWD has a tread difference spec. May be 2/32". May have to buy four. Or shave new tire, if they can do it.
Tread depth gauge is a few dollars at Autozone and the like. It's with the tire patch kits.
Had a sidewall bubble on one tire at 16k on my '22 Escape. Most likely pothole damage. Tread was already half done. Bought four new tires. Continental CrossContact LX25.
Sue, once you rip the CDs to laptop, you can also load them to your phone, too.
I have our master file of over 7k songs currently in our vehicles with USB.
My wife and I both have subsets of the master file on our phones of what we listen to more. We then use Android Auto. Our phones are Android
There was an old issue of songs playing in alphabetical order. Did that on my '14 Escape. Discussed with fix on Escape forum.
You can manually go in and put numbers in the file it is reading the songs from
There aare programs that will do this for you.
But. I suspect there's something else...
Having many CDs is actually the reason to burn them to laptop and not get a CD player in the vehicle. 🙂
I would just burn a few CDs at a time to my laptop. Then when I had a bunch done in my music master file, recopy the file to USB.
Good winter project.
On the small flags. There are three smaller ones under those two. Zip code of the neighboring town is 01776. They have a parade on the 4th. Group marching may give out flags.
Several towns wanted that Zip code. Probably should have gone to Concord or Lexington.
Check your Ford points online, if you have any. Mine were going to expire due to inactivity. Just used them all on fluids and filters.
Effective October 1, 2024, the Points of members who don’t have a FordPass® Rewards Visa® will expire after 18 months of non-activity.
