  1. Reserved and ordered.

Hmmm so no flat towing... that's quite a bummer for some people I bet. I guess this is something all Subaru owners also live with.... I remember my brother in law really wanting a Forester once and this was the reason he didn't get one.... I need to think about this one a bit too.... although I...
  2. 2021 Bronco Sport eSourceBook - 85 Pages of Specifications, Packaging/Options, Features And More

WHAT!? really? I hope this is an error in the sourcebook because all promo the videos and pics are showing the under seat storage with the brown leather interior that comes in the BL package.... EDIT (I just checked and it is only standard on BL and FE... not available in OB or anything below BL)
  3. 2021 Bronco Sport eSourceBook - 85 Pages of Specifications, Packaging/Options, Features And More

SAME - i hate my sunroof after the drains got clogged and water pooled on the driver's side floor on my Escape (2010). At least I know how to check it and how to maintain the drains now... - still, i really wish there was a sunroof delete option on BL package.
  4. FIRST EDITION Thread

The lack of any mentioning of re: Homelink does shock me somewhat. Heck even my 2010 Escape Limited has it, and was an option on the lesser trims back then. I also really hope that it does show up, if not in 2021, at least in 2022. Rain sensing wipers... nice, but for me not totally necessary...
  5. Badlands vs first edition main differences

BL+BL is good enough for my needs - The only thing i would miss is the wiper de-icer on the FE - I do need BL package to get heated seats and steering wheel. (yeah although i LIVE in NC, I do hike and travel to other colder states, in fact 80% of my hiking and climbing is done in winter, and...
  6. Would you choose Bronco 4 doors or Bronco sport?

Yep - Although owning a 2nd gen "boxy" Escape with roof rails (side and cross bars) gives me a pretty good idea of the size and presence /stance of the BS, nothing would compare to actually standing next to one in real life... waiting patiently to see them at a dealership. Fully understand, re...
  7. Fold Flat Rear Seats?

Do the rear head rests have to be removed for folding the seat flat?
  8. Would you choose Bronco 4 doors or Bronco sport?

Agreed. I will be happy with stock BUT would be nice to see if there will be alternatives, especially a fascia/bumper than can house a bit larger round fog lamp.
  9. Would you choose Bronco 4 doors or Bronco sport?

VERY well said. Exactly my thoughts re: size / price range. And although I like SOME tech (driving modes / safety etc), i am NOT a big fan of things like power folding mirrors and power lift gates. Just more things to break down the line AND they normally go right after warranty ends. I don't...
  10. Would you choose Bronco 4 doors or Bronco sport?

Well at least the Bronco Sport is either equal or slightly bigger in width and height, compared to Renegade/Compass/RAV4 - the shorter length and wheelbase probably contributes to the good approach / breakover / departure angles, I assume. The reason I like Sport dimensions is because it's...
  11. My planned exterior mods

    - Paint the front and back "Bronco" white lettering to dark grey or black., more like the FE. I am not a big fan of huge contrasts in a grill. Hopefully someone will make an overlay for this, like a sticker. (I wonder if it will be possible to get a whole FE grill for a different trim - should...
  12. Video: Bronco Sport crawls 44 degree incline at Moab

I guess this will sway some of the crowd that has been joking about the B Sport being "just an AWD Escape" I am guessing that's a BL trim? (wheels look like the steelies but not 100% sure...)
  13. The Pope is in the house.....

Hello from a fellow NC human! I am also a current owner of a not-so-distant-past cousin to the Bronco Sport: a 2010 Escape Limited AWD v6....
  14. Bronco Sport vs. Escape

I'd prefer to have a manual (cable pull like in the old days)/key insert option for EVERY electrically operated thing, really. My 2005 BMW has that. If the electric button fails, I can still insert the key and turn and the trunk opens. Neither the 2010 Escape nor wife's 2014 Mazda6 have that...
  15. Wheel and Tire plans?

How is the noise level with those tires on dry pavement? I know it's not an AS tire, so very low noise can't be expected, but I am just curious...
  16. Drivetrain.... Will there be a 2WD or will it be either AWD or Selectable 4WD???

In my 2010 Escape you can pull the fuse (#11) for the intelligent AWD and drive it around as a 2WD only Escape... The PTU and drive shaft still do their thing but the rear diff just doesn't engage the clutches with the fuse pulled. don't know if that will be a possibility in the B Sport.
  17. Official ALTO BLUE Bronco Sport Thread

Thank you! THIS is gonna be my color when I order my BL+BL in late 2021.... Unlike some other colors, it looks pretty close to the pics on Ford site...
  18. Location of Oil Filter on 2.0L EcoBoost

Following. I am also interested in knowing how DIY some of the maintenance of these cars will be. On my 2010 Escape I can DIY Oil, ATF changes, PTU and Diff fluids....
  19. Bronco Sport Badlands and Other Trims Spotted On Way to Dealers

you''re probably right - the wheel specs are prob the same; Just haven't been able to find them anywhere...
  20. Would you choose Bronco 4 doors or Bronco sport?

Yeah. Coming from a 2005 330Ci BMW coupe I feel like my 2010 Escape Limited is HUGE! This thing is even wider and taller than THAT. (but 2" shorter).... It will still feel "big" to me for a while.
