I did mine at 39k after starting to see posts about transmission failures at 75-90k. My tech told me the fluid was pretty well spent already. The topic has been beat to death a few times now... But the 100k trans fluid interval that Ford advertises is a joke.
I purchased a 8 year 80k mile ESP through my dealer when I purchased my new BSBL in 2021. Is it possible to purchase an additional 2 years and 20k miles now to make it 10 year 100k?
I've never had the panel pop out on mine, even with all the crap I've got it loaded with - as seen in the original post of this thread.
That said, I may one day soon get rid of the JCR molle panel. Adding any bags/items onto the panel takes up a lot of the small room we've got in the back cargo...
Yes. You need the angled socket at the top end. Looks like the one JCR recommend doesn't come with the angled socket either.
Edit: Just found a set of fittings that should work on Amazon for anyone still looking: https://a.co/d/4pP0y4e
I'm on 600ish miles with 245/65 AT4W's. I upgraded from the OEM AT3W 235/65's that came with the Badlands wheel upgrade. I rode those until they were bald and loved them.
The AT4's are NOTICABLY heavier. I know I went from 235 to 245, but even so the design is flat out heavier. After 600 miles...
Just did a trans fluid change at 40k and the tech mentioned the fluid was pitch black, that he's not surprised these are failing at 80k, and that Ford suggesting trans fluid at 150k - among other things - is ridiculous and only to meet euro environmental requirements on paper.
Guys... this has been brought up MANY times and there are examples all over this forum. You initiated the warranty claim while still under warranty. Ford is obligated to attempt to correct the issue as many times as needed, and however long after warranty, until the issue is resolved.
If you...
You initiated the warranty issue prior to your warranty expiring. They will keep attempting to fix it under warranty until the issue is finally resolved. Just need to bring it back to them if the issue returns.
I just replaced my end-of-life OEM Falken AT3 235/65s with AT4 245/65s. I almost wish I hadn't. Unsure if it's the change in size, but probably more the chunkier AT4s... It feels noticably worse to drive. Less acceleration, floatier, more torque steer, less mpg. Considering the lighter AT3s were...
Just a data point. Had the original TSB done a year ago and it made the moaning worse and happen 100% of the time. Had the most recent TSB done in January and the moan went away. It's now mid April and hasn't returned. Only time it has ever happened since is once very quietly after driving a...
I've been waiting for any kind of first hand accounts on the 2.5" lift. I much prefer HRG over the other companies for how much they put their products through the ringer.
I imagine even though the subframe drop will keep some of the components at the same height as a 1.5" lift, the rest of the...
Naw. Any harder wheeling than my BSBL can do would be better served with a beater project car. The only thing I'd want to update is the space/utility. For that, I'll upgrade eventually to an F150.
Are yours the OEM ones from Ford? Those OEM ones are built different and don't last as long. Consequently, Falken doesn't insure them to the 50k mile guarantee they otherwise would. You'll find that's pretty much industry standard for all OEM tires.
