Notice that Ford doesn't list the rpm's for their hp and torque ratings. Most manufacturers list hp ratings at an rpm you'll never drive. The Colorado has the same 430 ft pounds of torque at 3000 rpms. For me hp developed at max rpms is useless on trails.
Ranger Rapters are very scarce and...
My grandson's wife is doing the same. She has a 23 Heritage Limited that is too small for her. She frequently has to pick up executives and their luggage, sometimes golf clubs. She has looked at GMC Denali Ultimate, but I think she is going with a BMW X7. They live in Houston, and the BMW is...
The Colorado was redesigned in 23. New motor and will tow up to 7700 pounds. I'm comfortable with my choice. Glad you are enjoying your Tremor. It's a good vehicle.
Summit white is the color. I had some concerns that the ZR2 will fit in my garage. Chevy lists height as 81.8 inches and the facing to my garage door is a hair under 83. I don't think it would fit with 35's. Might be solved by just replacing antenna with a stubby.
My son has a We Boost...
Main reason is because they are so damn noisy. I wear hearing aids and they drive me nuts. ZR2 is much quiter and will go anywhere a Bronco will go. And I have a pickup bed.
For all the reasons the Colorado was Motor Trend's Truck of the year in 23 and 24. To get what I got on a ZR2, I'd have to buy the Ranger Raptor which is several thousand more. I like the simplicity of a turbo 4 cylinder compared to the twin turbo V6. Raptor makes more HP, but ZR2 makes the...
My Bronco story began when the Bronco was first announced I wanted one. When told it would be over two years, I opted to get a 21 BS and drive it until I could get the Bronco. Liked the size and driveability of the BS and bought another 23 in Eruption Green, my current ride. But, found myself...
I get that kind of mileage, too. When I'm leaving Colorado and losing elevation. Color me a skeptic. What is your average mileage for life of the vehicle.
Toby's place. Hollywood Corners in Norman, OK, has been a roadhouse/honkytonk, grocery, bait shop since 1925. Norman native James Garner worked there before he took off for Hollywood and a famed career in acting.
A friend of mine operated the Corners in the nineties when my grandsons were...
Took a day trip down to the ancient Wichita Mountains of SW OK. Always see wildlife there. I've roamed these old mountains since I was a kid. Home to Quanah Parker and Geronimo. Lots of history here as well as great wildlife viewing. Lil Green Bronco did fine.
More mismanagement from Ford. Why don't dealers have common replacement parts in stock? They will blame it on suppliers, but they choose to use suppliers rather than vertical integration as they used to do. Probably impossilbe to go back. But they choose suppliers and decide how many parts...
We are out in SW Colorado. Took a day trip to the historic little mining town of Creede yesterday. There is a 17-mile trail called Bachelor Loop that has several old mining sites. Maps for the self-guided tour can be obtained at the town visitor center. Wonderful day to be out in the San Juans.
Tell the dealer you don't want to put up a deposit on the order. That way if Ford can't deliver this in a timely manner, you can walk away. I've ordered over 50 new cars and I've never put up a deposit. They may squawk a bit, but they won't let you walk because of a deposit. They know...
I didn't include the acquisition fee, Ford defaults it there. I've been on the inside of manufacturer leasing. There is no more cost associated with the aquisition of a lease than there is a retail contract. It's simply a mark-up that goes to their bottom line.
I didn't say dealer mark-up. They are a manufacturer mark-up. Low lease payments that are low because there is a large down payment are misleading as well. Bait and switch. Why would you ever make a down payment on an asset you don't own?
