CHP has some weird chain regulations. I can carry chains that donāt even fit and meet the R1 regs, but If R2 goes up I have to chain tires and said chains will not clear my wheel wells. On top of that I have snow tires and 4x. Itās that way because too many donāt have a clue about snow. Sad...
I would rather have the Badlands with the 4 cylinder than deal with some of the 3 cylinder issues. Depending on my speed, Iām gettin 28+ mpg on the freeway. 25-26 in town depending on the amount of stop and go. All with the ASS (Auto Stop/Start) off. I generally use 87 oct. When traveling...
Manual says No chains or cable on 235ās. I imagine it applies to 245ās as well. I drove from Woodland CA to L.A. yesterday. Except for some rain before noon, I5 was clear and dry all the way. Only snow seen was coming out of the Siskiyou pass and it was all a good 20 feet or better off the...
I love the PNW, but Iām getting too old to appreciate the weather. Overnight low in Seal Beach was 44Ā°. My high yesterday was 49Ā°. My lungs canāt take it this time of year. I have a lovely 2 bedroom in Leisure World. Perfect for leaving rain and possible snow behind, where I can actually...
I noticed. Thatās why I listed mine. Seal Beach is my vacation area. Itās also near where I grew up. Happy the ASS works well for you. All it does for me is raise my blood pressure, so Iāll keep it off. Happy driving.
Wow! I wish I could get the foot well ambient lighting in my Badlands. I also wish my console was wired for the cupholders (which I have, but nothing to plug into). If youāre going to be in So Cal or would be willing to take on a project for senior woman, message me. Iāve about reached my...
Should still be the same bumper. The access should be a pop out piece of black plastic just above the right red reflector/light. If you zoom my picture you can just make it out. Mine does me no good since I have the factory tow package that covers/blocks the underside of it, but I located...
My 2022 came with that piece just sitting there, like assembly missed installing it. It would rattle. I popped it back in and never had another issue. It was one of the first things I checked when I took delivery of my 2023.
Lucky you. Around Seal Beach/Cypress/Los Alamitos my BS was restarting halfway through the signals. I tried a little test to see if it was me. It wasnāt. Iām still getting 26 mpg in town and 28+ on the freeway (when not stuck in L.A. traffic). Here in WA, I get the same or better, depending...
Try driving in California with this feature. The signals are long enough the auto start engages before the light changes. At those rare lights that are shorter, youāll be honked at while waiting for your restart. Just a royal pain. Iāll stick with my ASS Eliminator.
My spare was a full size 225/65R17 until I upgraded. I also added TPMS to my spare, which is on a matching rim. I can do 5 tire rotations with no issues. Thank you Discount Tires.
I added the side marker lights from Tectico and the struts from Red Line Tuning. I also added the console organizer, the dash one and brake/gas pedal covers in blue.
The Outer Banks has the 1.5L 3cylinder. Doesnāt it also have rain sensing wipers and other amenities in the OBX package? Putting Badlands on the side doesnāt add the 2.0L 4cylinder under the hood or other Badlands features. *shakes head at the gall of some people*.
My 2023 Badlands has the cutout, but I ordered with tow package so the threads are blocked (according to the manual). I ordered the tow eye from Ford when I had a 2022 without the tow package.
The only reason I traded my 2022 Badlands, with 21,000 miles, was because I failed to order some things that I discovered I wanted. The tow package, cargo management and co-pilot ++ (or whatever itās called. Intelligent/adaptive cruise). I do a lot of driving between Tacoma WA and Seal Beach...
