As to your original question as to how to get your vehicle from Ogalla to Boise...
I certainly appreciate your situation regarding not missing work at a brand new job.
There are companies that offer door-to-door shipping services. Do a Google search for "car shipping companies" and you'll...
Thanks for the follow-up -- this makes me feel a little better. I by no means have to deal with SOCAL traffic, but most of my trips are relatively short and even longer trips are still around town (St. Louis) so my display typically says 21-22, and I tend to drive about 80 if I am on the...
I would sure like to know what you folks are doing to get 30+mpg from the BL/2.0. The best I have managed is around 23-24. I admittedly drive pretty fast, but that wouldn't account for a 10 mpg difference.
Only 14K on our 2022 Badlands, purchased in late October '22. Only service has been the two oil changes.
EDIT TO ADD: I forgot to include that they did the 24S24/24V267 battery/PCM service while it was there for the last oil change, but only because it was recommended, not because we had...
Yikes! Certainly SOUNDS like electrical arcing. I hope it was just noise coming through the speakers. Good luck, and I look forward to an update when you get it figured out!
I agree 100%. We have spent time in western Colorado every fall for over 40 years and are on 4WD rated trails almost every day we are there, chasing pictures of the aspens. But we do this in body-on-frame vehicles with 4LO transfer cases (currently a 2012 Expedition, lift, winch, tires, etc.)...
I’m 100% on board with doing the Xpel and Ceramic first. You can always do tires, but once you get a rock chip in your paint you’ve got it forever.
Not all PPF is created equal, and you are right to be going with Xpel. Best out there. We did PPF for everything forward of the A pillar, including...
A good friend of mine owns a windshield repair and replacement business. His advice to me was to get any chips repaired ASAP to keep dirt and other contaminants out of the crevices. The dirt makes it more likely that the repair will be less noticeable after it’s done. He says to especially...
Of course you noted the date on that story, but marmots have been known to destroy wiring in parked cars, and because of their size they can do so very quickly (mice usually require a while). A friend parked at a motel for one night in Carbondale, CO and had to have his Subaru towed to a dealer...
I was also going to suggest the Katzkins route, @Arcee . I had them do my expedition last year and they are first rate. Also, if it matters to you (it did to me) the Katzkins are still real leather. Ford uses Pleather material even on the big money trucks like the Raptor, etc. They no longer...
I'm with you TJ. These Continental tires are awful. I wish mine would hurry up and wear out so I could justify replacing them. Based on my experience with Falkens on my Expedition, I suspect that is what we will be putting on our BSBL.
My experience (admittedly anecdotal) is that Ford SUV rear wipers don't do well with aftermarket blades. Both my Expedition and our old Escape had terrible performance (streaking, etc.) with Bosch, Rain-X and Trico, even though Bosch blades worked great up front. Broke down and bought the...
I will miss your posts here and am very envious of your new rig. Maybe someday when my old Expedition gives up the ghost we will become a two-pony household. No way my wife is giving up the Sport. It's a perfect size for her - and for me the last few months as I recover from spine surgery. Best...
We bought off the lot, and I wish it had the 360+ and Premium Package, but at the time we really needed a car.
Also, I don't know if the cameras are the same, but I have a buddy who ordered a Transit van with all the whistles and bells, and he is having trouble with more than one of his 360...
