Planning on it! Trips are planned for the trans lab in eastern Canada and another big one west to BC and up to the high Arctic on the Alaska highway and then really North up the Dempster. Fingers crossed we can make it happen!
For sure lots of shorter trips will occur in the mean time 😁
But seriously. The plan is to make the BS into a low rent overland car. Skid plates are a good idea as bad roads will wreck things. Bigger tyres and stiffer taller suspension will help with weight.

Eventually I will hit up some of the local rally clubs and see who does their skid plates and get some made up. Not bothering with the truck after market since, well, this isn’t really a truck and the truck aftermarket seems more interested at this point in the big one than the sport.
I am going to chuck all the underside panelling one of these days. Don’t care about sound deadening, do care about collecting a huge amount of dirt under there. I drive enough gravel that the dirt build up is significant. Plus, undercoat spray is a lot easier to apply if you can actually see the...

Imagine the noise that could be made in this thread if I said what I really want for an engine for this thing? A 3.0l turbo diesel. With a transfer case and low range. And no sound deadening. Not even a, gasp, engine cover.
Now that would make some noise!
