Bedides Ford OEM, Rough Country and Flatout suspension are the only after market companies that I know of that offer rear shocks for the Sport. I know you can purchase the Rough Country shocks for about $100 dollars and they have a 3 year warranty, the Flatout shocks are part of a suspension kit...
It's been 2 years since my battery was replaced and it cured all the random electrical issues I was having including the no start problem that could happen at anytime.
I didn't have the recall performed until this past July when my Badlands was in for a 4WD fault.
For me the recall hasn't...
My 2021 Badlands would do the same thing, you wouldn't know when and where it would happen and became untrustworthy. My dealer did replace the battery under warranty, it did take 3 visits before they replaced it. Since replacement its been excellent.
Have you had the software recall 24S24...
Obviously internet diagnosis is not always accurate. Unfortunately the symptoms you discribe can be caused by the RDU starting to let go.
Take the Sport to the dealer and have it diagnosed. There is a TSB that calls out a fluid change and a new vent hose, if that doesn't resolve the issue the...
Yesterday the Badlands went to Quick Lane at the Ford dealer, fresh oil and filter, also replaced the air and cabin filter as well.
All set for winter, runs good, smells good, lol.
I found the original post from January 2024, it's quite the experience.
I've seen oil leaks in cold weather typically at cold start but having a seal blow out and loosing all the oil is on a whole other level.
There has to be another cause possibly related to the oil pressure being to high like...
Was the first time an actual oil leak (oil dripping and or streaming from the engine) or is your engine using oil in excessive amounts?
Some manufacturers say using 1 quart of oil per 1000 miles is acceptable, I personally don't agree with line of thinking, and that could be difficult to...
Not surprised, the dealers I pass by during my commute have full size Broncos and Sports all lined up waiting for someone to ta take them home.
As others mentioned, the deals have started to become decent.
I'm still happy with the deal I got in 2021, and not interested in purchasing another Sport.
Common sense would tell you if you keep up with the maintenance schedule you'll have a better chance of reaching higher mileage.
I've known people that that were maintenance hawks and still have problems and people that would do the bare minimum and have zero problems, sometimes it's just luck.
That looks like the stains at hotels when they look around with a black light.
Kidding aside, try some isopropyl alcohol, it shouldn't damage anything, I would try it in an inconspicuous spot first to verify.
The Sports headlights are pretty bright to begin with, hard to believe 4 bikes on a trailer receiver type mount would cause the rear to squat and the front of the Sport to raise up causing the headlights to be a problem.
If the approximate weight of your setup is 220lbs as you say you are...
The Rough Country complete lift that has replacement struts and shocks has decent reviews, obviously it cost a bit more than the spacer style lifts out there but it's a real change over.
The inital Rough Country spacer lift for the Sport had some bad reviews, a number of the issues were caused...
I personally don't find the Badlands lacking in power. I more often than not run 91 octane fuel, you can feel the difference.
For extra punch around town sport mode will get your attention especially if the wheels aren't quite pointed straight and mashing the gas pedal.
With a decent cold air...
My experience was the same. It took 3 dealer visits to have the battery replaced, last visit I said I don't want the Sport back until it's fixed, it got to the point that it couldn't be trusted.
Ford doesn't want to give out free parts unless it absolutely has to.
If your servicing dealer has on record that you have attempted however many times to have TSB-24-2326 performed before your warranty expired, it should be covered, otherwise it will be on your dime.
You could have the service manager contact Ford and ask for a goodwill gesture, you may get lucky.
