  1. Low oil level after 3400 miles?

If you suspect an oil leak what about having florescent dye put into the oil so that if there is a leak you will be able to trace where it coming from.
  2. My Bronco is EATING TIRES

When I got a flat on the front passenger tire last month I had to ride on the mini spare. While the mini spare was mounted the tire was registering 0 PSI. The damaged tire was in the trunk. I do not know if the BS was still reading the flat tire with the TPMS or the system recognized that a...
  3. New Ford Pass App

I just called FordPass customer service. According to her they will launch the new version of the app very soon (weeks). Once it launches the old version will not be available. I expressed my concern regarding missing options that are on the current versions such as warranty information and...
  4. New Ford Pass App

LOL. I didn't even realize the points were missing also. I don't even know what I am missing. I am going to call when I get a chance and express my displeasure with the app.
  5. New Ford Pass App

Thanks, I see current miles but I do not see warranty information.
  6. Sync Navigation Map Update NA 2 23 Now Available

If navigation is important to you be thankful that we do not have sync 4. Ford gives you navigation but maps will not work unless you subscribe for $80 per year. At least with sync 3 the navigation works even if the maps are not updated. For me I have no need to update the maps every year as...
  7. New Ford Pass App

Interestingly I called FordPass yesterday because location services were not updating on my Bronco sport. The rep on the phone said that it was a FordPass issue that they are working on. Shortly after getting off the phone I got a message when going into the app letting me know that I have been...
  8. The new Recall is out now.

The recall is to recalibrate software to detect a sudden degradation of the battery and to increase alternator output when a sudden degradation is detected and provide notification to the driver. The Auto start stop already will not engage if the battery charge is below a certain level ( I do...
  9. The new Recall is out now.

This is what I do not understand about the description in the recall: "If the battery suddenly degrades during a drive it can lead to a vehicle that is unable to restart after an auto stopstart event or experience a stall while coming to a stop at low speed." I see many posts that blame the...
  10. Sync Navigation Map Update NA 2 23 Now Available

No, My Edge is 2019. All my current vehicles are sync 3 and I am actually happy with that. I had a 23 Escape for a short time that had sync 4 and it takes getting used to. I know that with sync 4 everything is updated over the air but in order to keep the navigation maps working with sync 4 you...
  11. Total electrical power failure on my 2021 BB with 23700 miles.

Ford deleted the manual release after the 22 model year. The owners manual only talks about jumping the battery to get into neutral.
  12. Total electrical power failure on my 2021 BB with 23700 miles.

Were you able to get the BS into neutral so it could be towed. I have a 24 and it no longer has a manual release to put the transmission into neutral. Per owners manual the battery needs to be jumped to get the BS into neutral.
  13. Sync Navigation Map Update NA 2 23 Now Available

Yep, you are correct. I found many instances in these owners manuals where it say one thing and it is no longer true or is just not accurate because the wording is from a previous version of the manual and it no longer applies. That is why I plan on waiting a couple of months to see if the...
  14. Total electrical power failure on my 2021 BB with 23700 miles.

My understanding is that this recall is only updating software to detect low battery charge. I don't think it will prevent premature battery failure. I have been changing my Ford OEM batteries in my cars every 3 years. It doesn't look like that will be enough with my BS. Hopefully it gives us...
  15. Sync Navigation Map Update NA 2 23 Now Available

They were definitely updated through the wifi. I only updated the maps once on my Edge using the preloaded USB when it was new otherwise I never downloaded or purchased the USB. The updates would happen in the background over time. Found this on Page 395 of the 24 Bronco Sport Owners Manual...
  16. Sync Navigation Map Update NA 2 23 Now Available

very confused about these free updates. I just called Ford Customer Service and the rep said on new 24 Bronco Sport I get 1 update within 1 year. As I previously posted in this tread I was getting 3 years of free updates with my 20 Escape and 19 Edge. I would not get the update when it came...
  17. Florida BS

My 24 Bronco Sport Desert Sand is the first flat paint I have had in a long while. My previous 5 Fords have all been Platinum or Star White metallic. I think the flat paint is going to be much harder to keep in good condition. I happened to mention to my service adviser just a couple of weeks...
  18. Tire pressure monitoring

I just got a flat on a loaner Big Ben a couple of weeks ago. I think the tire pressure monitor alarm went off and the screen read about 26 psi from what I remember. The message stayed on the screen in yellow and the pressure continued to drop until I found a safe place to stop. By that time...
  19. Sync Navigation Map Update NA 2 23 Now Available

24 Bronco Sport. From sync 3 update website: Your vehicle is eligible for a complimentary SYNC® 3 Navigation Map update. Ford does not specify how many years complimentary updates are available. I would not be surprised if it is only one time. My 2020 Escape and 2019 Edge were 3 years. In the...
