Its on its 3rd bottle feeding and change of amsoil. While under there noticed the coolant reservoir was almost empty. ( way under min)
Now I know the early models had water pump and turbo issues do the 2024s have the same issues. No smells no leaks as of yet.

some 2024 owners have had water pump issues on their 1.5L model - does not appear the root cause of the water pump issues were resolved for ‘21-‘24

(I think there is a Canadian recall for certain turbo failures but not in the USA as far as I know)

Great thanks for info. I took to the dealer this morning too busy to look at it. But they topped it off so I brought it home and parked it. What ever it is its covered under one of the warranties. LOL

I had my WP changed out under warranty earlier this year. That included a engine flush, new coolant, etc. That was 20K ago, as of today I estimate I've lost about 8oz. of coolant. There is no external indication of a leak, no odor, no nothing. Before I had the WP replaced I was refilling the reservoir every 5K with 8 oz of coolant, I marked the reservoir so I could track the loss. Even with the warranty work it seems the coolant loss is still there, although much slower than before. Now that I am out of warranty all I can do is refill and monitor the loss. It really isn't an issue to refill but it does highlight that the fix was not the fix, more of a band aid.

There is a problem that goes deeper, a casting defect, a head gasket problem, I don't know. I did have two Blackstone oil analysis pre WP change out and they both confirmed there was no coolant in the oil. That made it a little easier to accept the problem. Coolant is cheap, a engine on the other hand is not. Ford knows there is a bigger problem but for now the problem is managed with a new pump. I am sure some attorney out there will jump on the Class Action bandwagon and take Ford to task on the deeper problem. I don't like the fact that I have to monitor my coolant level but I've learned to live with it. Ford most likely assume's that owners will trade out of the Sports which will eliminate 90% of the problem.

For us long term owners it is a problem. Goes to show how Ford is middle of the pack when it comes to a reliable brand, and that might be stretch. I think Ford has turned more people over to Toyotas than Toyota has done through marketing. I am thinking the same thing. I want something I can drive the next 10 years with out being on a first name bases with the dealer service manager. Good luck all.

Many Ford dealerships provide a no-cost complementary lifetime powertrain warranty backed by the dealership

you said you bought one … do you mind sharing what you paid for it?

$2k.. Great price for lifetime Ford dealership service (assuming unlimited mileage)

Likely the complementary free offer at some dealerships is built into the price of the vehicle but who knows
