There are quite a few threads mentioning poor customer service and no rental car reimbursement along with threats of "Lemon law" however I haven't found anything useful. Does anyone have advise, please, for obtaining rental reimbursement? or should this not be provided, success in filing a lemon law case?

1. Instructed Ford pays $45/dau for a car. Or $60/day for truck/SUV. Looks like they classify the Sport as a car.
2. Customer service will not furnish a written policy to me stating the terms which will qualify my rental for reimbursement.

Having spoken with customer service on 4 seperate occasions from end of April to today, I've gathered that if the dealer can't provide the rental, then it must be a Ford rental and a supervisor must approve the rental in advance; however, I've yet to receive a call back from my "case manager" nor receive any instruction on optaining forms, possible day limits, and so on. The defect issues are not related to direct powertrain failure... they are engine power loss, transmision surging or not downshifting, seats, warning lights, etc. and the vehicle has been waiting for parts...

Thanks in advance!

2021 BL. 19K miles. Powertrain warranty still in effect. I bought a PremiumCare extended warranty, 7 years 75K miles, $50 deductible.

On warranty work my dealer does not provide rentals from their inventory.

They haul me to a Budget rental car about a mile away. They pay for the rental, but it must be a Ford vehicle.

I do have the 1st day rental rider on my extended warranty. The SA has always offered a rental to me if I don't want to wait for my vehicle.

I highly recommend this if you buy a Ford extended warranty. No hassles at all for me.

They no longer provide a shuttle ride to anyone. Post pandemic issue.

I just did a quick search hoping to get a definitive answer in writing.

I could not find that, but the consensus seems to be that for those covered by the standard factory warranty, whether or not a loaner is provided is up to the dealer.

That would explain why there are such a range of experiences.

No extended warranty, only the factory one. Just read through the warranty and it clearly states no rental coverage. Not sure why the dealer didn't just state this upfront, instead referring me to customer service to get rental coverage. Then CS offering the coverage verbally, but would most likely not reimburse me if I submitted receipts from Hertz etc.

Pretty rough start with this BS BL.
