Does anyone prefer the Bronco Sport over the regular Bronco? (Or vice versa)

Sometimes i'm not sure, maybe it's equal. There's literally times where i think the Big Bronco is cooler, while other times i think the bronco sport
is just enough/preferable design.

Then again, the big broncos are so costly, i actually went to test drive one. It was better than i expected, But the hard top roof was leaking air in. That bronco only had 22.7 miles. I don't know if that's "normal"? but once we got near 70 MPH, you can feel air above you on your body a bit.

I prefer the 2 door Bronco Outer Banks but not for the $60K+ it would cost me the way I'd want it.

Easy to fix, get both! I like the Sport for every day driving and prefer the 2 door for weekend fun driving. The cost difference when you look at MSRP isn’t that much depending on trim level. My 2 door Heritage was 40k or 8k more than my 32k Badlands but my price on the Heritage was lowered due to Fords price protection for early reservations.

My opinion is they are two completely different vehicles. The 2 door is louder for sure but then the top removes which you can’t do in a sport. But despite what people say, the off road experience is also much different. The Badlands Sport can go many places where a AWD can’t , but it doesn’t compare it to the 2 door Heritage. It also gets about 5 mpg worse gas milage than the Badlands Sport so there is that. But for pure driving enjoyment, I prefer the 2 door.

Prior to 2022 when our household income was primarily from wage earnings then we would have purchased the body on frame Bronco.

Today, our household income is primarily from savings due to retirement, so we decided to purchase the uni-body Bronco Sport.

Purely a economical decision based on our current financial position.

Probably a smart decision too! I reserved my full size in 2020 and sold my 1995 Lightning then because I wasn’t driving it much and didn’t need another garage queen. The plan was to drive the full size as my daily driver when the Escape lived past its useful or enjoyable life. When it became clear I wouldn’t see the full size for several more years, my dealer offered me a 22 Sport for 6% under invoice and I decided to do it thinking I’d sell or trade in the Sport once the full size arrived. Ford decided to clear out the old reservations this year and last fall I substituted a Heritage Edition for the Badlands that I had on order. Worked out in my favor as my private offer from Ford was based on the Badlands I had on order. But based on driving the Sport for a year and half, I decided I liked it too much to sell it or trade it in so I gave the Escape to my step son and the 2 door full size officially replaced the Lightning as a garage queen. Had I not had a great dealer (@Granger Ford) and a bit of good luck with timing with selling the Lightning, I probably would have had to make a choice as to which one to keep.

Sport all the way. The regular Bronco is just too noisy.
It’s definitely noisier, so if that’s a main criteria, then the Sport is quieter than the full size at least with the OEM Goodyear Territories compared to the OEM Falken WildPeaks.

There entirely different animals despite the name. And I prefer the Sport, it fits my needs better and I just dont have the need for a purpose built off roader. I have one car and this car needs to take me fishing, to work, take the dogs to the groomer, the brewery, road trips etc.

The big bronco is a very cool car, love the look of it especially the two door, but for my needs the Sport is simply a better car and I have done some very cool things with it including this...well...it was a hell of an adventure....car looks better with pinstripes right?

I genuinely dont have any regrets about the car. The only thing...which I harp on constantly, is I wish it had tilting seats. I could've got a Big Bend for the same price but I have never wanted nor needed a car with that sort of capability and apparently I am a pragmatic person who isn't super worried about image....that said the alto blue is the best blue.

The Big Bronco looks cooler and can do more off road. For day to day life, I like the little Sport and it has proven to be a good little rig and the 2.0L is great.

I pretty much match with everyone else.

If I had my choice of a free Ford... I'd take a Bronco 2 door Badlands.

Since I have to pay for it, I'm good with the Bronco Sport. I have the Big Bend but maybe, if I had saved a bit a planned, I might have bought the Badlands or at least the Big Bend with some more options.

I'm in South Texas. Other than the beach, which I don't go much, there's not much need for the extra ability. Add in a larger vehicle to maneuver, higher expenses, lower mpg, it's not worth the extra expense. At least, for me.

But this is my first SUV. I almost bought a Passport but it was too big for me. My views might be different in a few years.

I originally wanted the bigger Bronco, but settled for the sport due to price.

I, too, really miss the 10-way power seat in my previous Escape that I could tilt under my thighs.
