OK, Sorry for the size of the picture, because I don't know what I'm doing on that score, and frankly in too much of a rush to do it properly.

So obtaining one of these darn BS is quite an exercise. I snoozed and loozed on THREE. But I'm moving on... Maybe. I am going to look at this Outer Banks tomorrow. Ridiculously loaded, around 15,800 miles. A '22. It has been on the dealer lot for a while. Not a Ford dealer, but it came to them from a Ford Dealer, as per the car history lookup thingy. (sleep deprived, sorry)

This is a picture on the web of one of the tires. Is it my imagination or does it seem kinda chewed up? What could cause this? Should I back off and look around some more? I've got a perfectly fine car and am in no hurry per se...

Thoughts?

Yes, I have allowed, not 1, not 2, but THREE low mileage, loaded '22 Badlands to escape my grasp after negotiating a dang good deal. Like so good I had no idea how good. Oops. A velocity blue, a dark gray, and a cyber orange. Each time I went back to buy the car, they told me it had been sold. The last time, I committed to a next day down payment over the phone just before the dealership closed. Next morning it had, after having been on the lot since OCTOBER, been purchased over night. Not a Ford Dealer by the way. Whatever. Except for the pain in my heart, I've moved on. But I give the dealership the hex every time I drive by.

Put up the picture twice, with additional non germane information. Sorry.

The outside tread pattern looks weird in the pics, but I'd go look at it in person, as you don't perhaps want to loose your mind over passing up another chance at buying another clean used BS!

Looks like it may have some damage. Missing segments. Best to take a look in person.

Since these are the original tires, and I have no luck having OEM tires last past 20,000 miles, I would check the car out and just know you will need new tires asap. Thus, get a $1000 off and explain to them why.

As for missing out on your Sports. I’d suggest relax and take a deep breath. They are becoming more plentiful, be sure to check Carmax once in awhile, and you’ll get your perfect one in time. Just don’t panic and overpay is my first advice.

My second advice is that I like you are looking at low mile used as that normally saves a lot of money. But, times have not been normal. If new ones are about the same price, you may want to offer under MSRP and see if that works for you (it is starting to in our area).

Thanks for the input! Much appreciated. was just curious if the car geniuses here could tell anything I couldn't from the pic.

Bucko-- Missing out on clean used B Sports is becoming a bit of an unwanted habit! Ugh.

Thank you. I appreciate this advice. My goal is to have one by my birthday in December! Good to remind myself to take my time.

It looks to me like the tire design, just clean in some spots and dirty in another. An in person look will answer your question.

I'm curious what kind of prices you were able to negotiate just before they sold the vehicles out from under you.

I was a local Dodge dealer with an apparently large internet presence. They had three BSBLs. with 4000 miles or less on the lot over the winter. I decided to drive one, as I thought about it, they sold it over the internet to a "couple from Colorado." I kinda blue that one --litterally as it was a blue one like yours. I believe that is what happened to the cyber orange one as well. I test drove my least favorite color, the dark gray, and then wanted to drive the yellow, which was still listed on their website as available. They told me it was under a deposit... And then the next day offered for the gray one...

So it seems internet sales and my reluctance to commit killed the sales. I take partial blame, but was in no rush since the BS had been on the lot for months. The sales kid was nice, a Marine, and I would have been happy to have him get a commission from me.

Oh yes, 36,000. USD fully loaded. Blue one had 3200 miles. In retrospect, a pretty good deal.
