Personally, I think the styling is just fine, but for the Adventure/TRD models they need to drop a turbocharged engine under the hood. I understand a NA engine can (sometimes) be more reliable than a turbo engine, but a turbo works great in high-altitude situations (which is certainly where you'd want to attempt to take one of these things), gives you more oomph of the line, and plus I think you should get at least get a little more under the hood than the same exact engine you get with all the other RAV4s.
The Rav looks like the rest, the herd.
They should have done the drag race with the 1.5L base Ford engine.
I bet it would have been a photo finish or at least within a few car lengths..
Anybody listening ?
This was not a equal comparison, BS has 250 HP vs 203 non-turbo.
I got tired of the ford games and delays with ordering a BS badlands and not getting any good vibes or info from the local denver area ford dealers so traded my mazda3 for a new 2021 RAV4 trd this week. Got the good 2.4% Toyota financing. I'll look at trading this for a full bronco or a BS in a few years once the bronco and ford get past the first few years.
