I did a few Modifications and upgrades that were questionable for the Balands model specifically the Nudge bar from Rough Country and the ECU flash from Vivid racing. So I thought this would help clarify and answer some things for people.

Very nice job . You covered all the right bases. The engine upgrade is unreal , about how much in cost and time to do . Good luck

Nice video!

For your BL, do you have CoPilot360 Assist+? You mentioned that the nudge bar doesn't affect your lane assist or pre-collision assist, but I think those systems work off the camera at the top of the windshield if I'm not mistaken. However, having Assist+ puts a radar in the lower grill area used for the adaptive cruise control features, so I'm not sure if a nudge bar would be compatible with BS's equipped with the add-on. Could be mistaken if anyone can correct me.

Edit: Here's a section from the 2022 BS Owner's Manual (p. 230) I found about this:

All badlands comes with auto pilot 360, 360 plus is just 100 bucks more for a few more features not regarding the sensors and correct me if I'm wrong on that. But so far I've had pre collision assist come one twice so it's picking that up, in the video, lane assist works just the same, drove it last night and light assist works when you take a turn in the dark, brights auto turn on if you're in or on a dark road. The only thing I can't confirm is the adaptive cruise control. Which you bring up a good point of what to confirm, I will test that out and confirm next time I drive, but honestly that sensor in the pic you provided, the lights might be just divided in between it to pick up stuff, because there is no difference from stock that I've noticed. But all I can do is see. I wanted every sensor to work so give Me a list of what you want checked and I'll go and test it out. Thanks

It was about 600 for the ECU upgrade, definitely worth it

Ok so confirmed I do not have co pilot plus I did try cruise control to see if it would auto slow with an up coming vehicle but it did not with multiple attempts and my bill of sale says I do not have 360 plus. But I'm not sure where the sensor is with it in the picture you provided but here is a photo of the front, if there's enough room for a senor it's possible that gap between lights might not effect it but again I do not have 360 plus so I don't have an answer if the bar would effect that sensor

You have lane keeping ,and regular cruise control . Yes I also was a little sad not having that .I had it for the first time in my Lincoln MKS . Really a well worth option .

Thanks for following up and looking into it— with Assist+ the sensor would be incorporated into the grill area. However, the manual makes it sound like the car will warn if you either the camera or radar (if equipped) are obstructed, so anyone installing a similar setup or other potential obstruction will probably figure out pretty quick. If a nudge did end up obstructing and I had to choose between keeping it on and using the radar system, I would definitely stick with the radar. The ACC on my Outer Banks has been awesome in my experience and makes for a pretty effortless driving experience (especially when used in combination with the lane centering that also comes with the Assist+).

360+ was ~900 option last year.
