I’d seen that actually. But I’m not sure what the implications are. Is that good? Bad?
Both Broncos sell just under the Escape, which you’d think should be decent at least, perhaps especially given current production constraints.
The Sport & the Escape together as C2 platform mates then together put up respectable numbers, if not quite to say RAV4 sales. But it seems to show that Ford’s strategy of fielding more than one vehicle in the compact SUV class makes sense. ]
But then both Broncos sell just under the Wrangler as well. Surely that’s more than respectable given current supply constraints when you’re comparing sales to a nameplate which has been continually in the market for decades vs a new product.

I think that a sales volume of 100k+ per year is considered a good seller for most brands.

By that metric then both Broncos are definitely a hit! As kinda expected really. I mean if you can’t produce enough to meet the demand it has to be a success…. But then I recall too when it seemed half the population drove the same car around. So much more choice today. Before you had the same car in 2 door, 4 door, & wagon. Nowadays they can take a platform, like C2, & create a handful of very different products off of it.

The backlog of the full size is still huge considering they had 125k of hard orders and 200k reservations before they changed the allocation program and let dealers with allocations order before those that had reservations but not enough allocations.
